The children enjoy a varied educational and fun filled day, with themed activities planned around significant days/holidays. This ensures the children benefit from a wide range of fun activities and crafts throughout the day.
Our holiday clubs also give children many opportunities to take part in special days and half-day mini trips. Local attractions that we have visited with the children in the summer include Raby Castle, Thorpe Farm, National Railway Museum Shildon and Preston Park. We plan trips to the theatre, cinema and other attractions for the Autumn/Winter holidays.
There are many procedures that we routinely follow to keep the children safe when they are taking part in outings. We always seek parental consent before taking the children on trips and always respect the wishes of parents/carers. We also keep written records and risk assessments for all trips and maintain and exceed appropriate staff-child ratios during outings.
